Come show us your talents at the monthly Open Mic Night, which is held on the first Friday of the month.

First Friday in October is this Friday so not long to wait.

Performances commence after dinner, which will be sometime between 7.30 and 8.

DIBC presents OKTOBERFEST - this Sunday

Our annual OKTOBERFEST event kicks off at noon this coming Sunday 4 October.

This year's event is proudly sponsored by the German software giant SAP (quite a coup you'd have to admit in the current economic environment!).

There will be the usual line up of German Beers and Sausages and the Brass Band will be playing from 2pm.

For those with the stamina we'll be showing the NRL Grand Final on the big screen - kick off is at 5pm.

The weather is set to be fine and sunny, and as always it promises to be a cracking afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there!

Welcome, and apologies

I have returned from my travels to find that the company hosting the dibc.com.au website has been taken over and through no fault of our own (and which I am following up on for a refund) we have lost the previous website and would have to pay again to re-register the old dibc.com.au address.

Luckily during our trip, Nessa and I have been getting lots of practice using 'blogging' software to keep people up to date with what we were up to (andyandnessas-allaussieadventures.blogspot.com).

We found Google's Blogger site simple to use, meaning it's quicker to keep up to date (which can be done from any computer), and easy to add photographs. Best of all though, Google provide the website for free!

This therefore is the new online address for the Club: http://www.dangarislandbowlingclub.blogspot.com.

It's a bit of a mouthful so you might want to bookmark it (CTRL-D if you are using a PC, or Command-D if you are using a Mac). A short cut version of the address is http://bit.ly/BSP8C.

However you choose to access the website we hope you find it of use.

We will keep you up to date with upcoming events, reports and photos from past events, the current opening hours and what yummy treats are available from the kitchen.
